TEACHINGS (a)    This is Sura Al Nas, the last Sura of the Quran.  Allah is the creator of human beings and to test man, Allah has also created Satan. Satan has the mission to lead human beings into hell. To achieve his goal, he is not alone. He has his partners who are jinns and human beings. Allah teaches us that whenever Satan instigates us to commit sin, we should seek the protection of Allah. When man refuses to accept his instigations, he comes back again with some new idea until he convinces a person to commit sin or goes back disappointed. PASSAGE 7           SURA 2:21-22        SURA AL BAQARAH TRANSLATION   BISMILLAH ARREHMAN ARRAHIM. 21              O people! Adore your Guardian-Lord, who created you and those who came before you, so that you may have the chance to learn righteousness. 22              Who has made the earth your couch, and the heavens your canopy; and sent down rain from the heavens; and by it brought forth fruits for your sustenance; then do not set up rivals to Allah, when you know.       TEACHINGS (a)      These two Ayaat present the relationship between Allah and His creation of human beings. They also present the conditions of life which were necessary for the human beings to survive on this earth. Allah has created all human beings present today or who came before them. The purpose of creating humanity is that Allahs wants us to follow the way given by Him. Sura Al Baqarah, Ayat 35 says: “On earth will be your dwelling place and your means of livelihood”.

TEACHINGS (a)             Sura Al Fatihah is the first Sura of the holy Quran. This Sura shows us the relationship between Allah and human beings. TRANSLATION A man asked the Messenger of Allah (May Allah bless him and give him peace): “Do you think that If I perform the obligatory prayers, fast in Ramadan, treat as lawful that which is lawful and treat as forbidden that which is forbidden, and do nothing further, I shall enter paradise?” He said: “yes”.                               TEACHINGS (a)      Five times prayer is obligatory upon Muslims. When a Muslim performs his obligatory prayer, he has done his duty towards Allah. Besides that his other prayers will add reward for him. In the same way, Fasting during the thirty days of Ramadan is obligatory. Besides this all fasting is either optional (Nafil) or compensatory (Qaza). To be careful about lawful and unlawful is not an easy job because Satan attracts us towards sin. This part of Hadith is very comprehensive and covers the entire Muslim life about right and wrong. TRANSLATION Let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day either speak good or keep silent, and let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day be generous to his neighbour, and let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day be generous to his guest.               TEACHINGS (a)      This Hadith teaches Muslims three golden principles. First is to prefer silence over gossip. The second is to help neighbours and the third is to be generous to the guests. If we look around, we find that most of the conflicts take place because of our careless use of language. Without thinking, we hurt the feelings of others. As a result, relations break down and sometimes sad events take place. A Muslim is advised to think before he speaks and he should always speak for the good of people. Neighbours are our brothers and sisters. If they have a problem, we should try to solve it. Most of the time neighbours need financial help, therefore we should always be ready to share their joys and so

TRANSLATION   None of you believes until he wants for his brother what he wants for himself.          TEACHINGS (a)             This Hadith teaches sincerity towards other Muslims. No one likes that others should hurt him, therefore we should not hurt others. For example no one likes that he should be insulted, therefore he should not insult others. This Hadith teaches brotherhood in the Muslim community. Besides that this Hadith also encourages us to financially help people. We enjoy life because Allah has given us prosperity; therefore we should be caring about the other Muslims too. (b)      The Prophet (saw) always applied this teaching in his own life. He never abused or beat anyone and he never used sarcastic language. In his last sermon he said: “Don’t hurt others, so you should not be hurt”. He spent his life in a very simple way. In the battle of Trench, he was also starving like many other Muslims. In a Hadith he says: "Muslims are like a building.
