HADITH E QUDSI

Q       ‘Truly, My mercy overcomes My wrath.’ This is a Hadith Qudsi.
What is special about Hadith of this kind.        [4-N-10]

Hadith e Qudsi is the Hadith which is uttered by the Prophet (saw) in his own words but the message of the Hadith is directly from Allah. The comparison is with the Quran. The Quran is the direct word of Allah but Hadith e Qudsi is in the words of the Prophet (saw). For example, in the above Hadith the words ‘My’ are for Allah Himself. Hadith Nabwi is the Hadith which is the statement of the Prophet (saw) in his own words.
