ARTICLES OF FAITH-BELIEF IN THE BOOKS OF ALLAH
Q      Write short accounts of Muslim belief about Books.

  • angel Jibrael brought all the Books to the prophets.

  • We learn from the Quran about the scriptures and Books given to:
  • Scriptures to Ibrahim (as)
  • Tauraat or Torah to Musa (as): “And We gave Moses the Book (Torah) in order that they might receive guidance” [23:49]
  • Zuboor or psalm to Dawood (as)
  • Injeel or Gospel to Essa (as): “We bestowed on him the Gospel” (Injeel)[57:17] The final Book, the Quran, was given to Mohammad (saw).
  • Same message
  • 1 unity of Allah and avoid Shirk
  • 2 the Day of Judgment.
  • 3 to follow prophets
  • Books were sent to different communities.
The holy Quran

  • the most authentic Book of Allah.
  • No change, no corruption,
  • preserved within one year of the death of the Prophet (saw).
“We have revealed this (Quran) and We will preserve it". (The Quran)

  • the original word of God
  • living Arabic language.
  • High standard of language
  • impossible to translate Quran in its exact sense.
  • solution to all problems .
  • Its teachings are applicable to every period of time.
“This is a glorious Quran, in a Tablet preserved” (Al Buruj)
